Special Initiatives and Campaigns

In addition to its Free Request Program for masks and COVID-19 rapid tests, Donate A Mask has undertaken some other special initiatives since its launch in 2022.

Clean Air Program
(2022-23)

The Donate A Mask Clean Air Program provides free clean air kits, including CR box kits with HEPA-quality air filters, CO2 monitors, and reusable elastomeric face masks to vulnerable people across Canada.

Clean Air for Teachers Program
(2023-24)

In 2023-2024, Donate A Mask expanded the Clean Air Program to target public school teachers and educators for use in their classrooms. Through this program, over 153 C02 monitors, 123 elastomeric masks, and 87 Corsi-Rosenthal boxes were donated and shipped for free to educators and classrooms across Canada.

Shield Me From Smoke Campaign
(2024-ongoing)

Donate A Mask’s new Shield Me From Smoke : Wildfire Smoke Protection and Clean Air Campaign was launched on May 4 2024, which was also this year’s Wildfire Community Preparedness Day. Its two primary goals are:

1) To help people across Canada understand the health risks of wildfire smoke, who is at risk, and what protective measures they can take; and 2) To help mitigate these serious health risks, by providing an access point for high-quality respiratory protective equipment (RPE) including N95 or equivalent masks, and other clean air tools.
